you forgot to mention cricket!… times when we won Twenty20 and recently with the 2nd test fiasco in australia… i agree that it’s a great sport n all and we all love it….but sport is sport is sport and will be sport no matter what it becomes…. it should rightly occupy the last page of the newspaper and the last few minutes of a news report…. i don’t want to wake up in the morning and stare unbelieveably at a major news daily telling me “sachin says that harbhajan said maa-ki and not monkey” in the font page… yeah, it’s the armageddon of sorts for the indian media… and it really pains me to see ndtv and cnn-ibn (of the very same prannoy roy’s and rajdeep’s brainchilds) showing the ganguly and dravid’s dismissal in the test match for 3 days, 24*7 (in true 24*7 style..)….

well, you have talked about how the other craze – bollywood – which is being exploited by the media… the other day i wake up and see namitha’s (actress) picture on the top-front-page of a major daily saying that she’s from surat! (who cares where she’s from, who cares about her at all…)… man!… i really feel for our kids… i take pride in being the gen-X guy…yet, somethings are better left as they were… well, what can one say…these are the times of the capitalists and the free market and competition…and as i always say… in such an environment the good are very few, the bad are plenty and the ugly put on the mask of the good…
